Is this a surprise? No. But for some reason, the increasing shrillness and lying desperation of it all, coupled with the fact that real issues are left to rot on the wayside even more than usual, can't help but once again make me weep for the demise of this nation. Does that sound cornball? Well, yeah, but it's the truth.
